The Pro-Chancellor

I consider it a great and privileged time for this Council to be in place in this University. A time another milestone is being attained the history of this institution of pride, not only for Nigeria, but also the entire continent of Africa. In fact, it is most remarkable that we are all here as the Obafemi Awolowo University turns at Sixty (60).

Sixty diamond years, sixty years of impeccable growth and giant strides, sixty years of valiant contribution to the universe of knowledge, sixty lofty steps with incredible generational footprints, sixty years of sublime legacies, sixty years of innovative leadership and excellent scholarship.
